For our American friends, the public holiday of Boxing Day, the 26 December, celebrated in the UK, Ireland and Commonwealth countries, is traditionally a day to give presents to the poor. It's celebrated in a similar way to Christmas Day where you'd often go to the inlaws the day after Christmas and have another traditional turkey Christmas Dinner and more present opening!
