Thriving

"Is it swollen?" asks Dr Charlie Golden, Reuben's paediatrician at a check up visit. I rush over to take a look, worried about what I've neglected to notice in Reuben's care.



"No, it's the testosterone shots", I reply. Let's just say they're doing their job very well.



We see pulmonary and Reuben's weight gain puts him into the 50-75% percentile height for weight and the nutritionalist is actually concerned about him becoming too porky. That's a first.



We bump into Dr Claire from the NICU and she remarks how he's "thriving" as she watches him sign. A year ago, striving would have been something to look forward to as we were barely surviving.
