Rocking around the Christmas tree
Today is a very good day for Reuben: his throat has healed beautifully post tonsillectomy and his sleep study has been booked for January 30th. If he passes that without abnormal desaturation, and the "month long" analysis of this sleep data is satisfactory, then the trach can come out, aka "decannulation". Now that, my friends, is something to celebrate by rocking around the Christmas tree!

you must be excited! My daughter has a trach she is 11 months old. The day she doesn't need her trach will be the most exciting and scary day all at the same time. I have gotten so use to her having it I cant' imagine her without it.
Love the christmas photos!
Hurray! Wish I'd read this post before Christmas instead of all thelast minute rush!
So excited for Reuben and wishing he continues to improve and we'll all be thinking of him end of Jan!
