Hands & knees

Today we started Every Child Learns, another development programme by the Early Intervention Programme complete with a therapist with long red talons for nails which was enough to keep Reuben fully attentive for the hour. It's more about play than therapy and whilst Reuben furtively checked out another new addition to his team (currently 11 doctors, 2 teachers, 3 therapists, 1 nurse), I watched as he quietly opened up to her.

She was particularly pleased with his excellent attention span which I hadn't thought too much of before, but yes, he's very, very attentive to detail and has wonderful tenacity, that dogged determination evident in his face to work things out. And this little hands & knees milestone, caught on camera amazed me today! It's the first time he's been on his hands and knees unassisted. Just a shame his PT Carrie who's been working tirelessly on this amongst other achievements, should have missed it...

Subtitles: Oh love, that's a first. Oh my Go', it's unreal isn't it?

The little smile that crept across his sweet cupid bow lips afterwards was simply beautiful.

Jennifer - you are in for a treat. He's the cutest baby I've ever seen, completely adorable! But then I am biased.
