Observations at the Griffith Observatory

There's nothing like a stark concrete background to show off my boy to best effect and I love Reuben in this Janie & Jack ensemble. I know I do, so there's no point saying I could, photograph my boys til Kingdom come. It's just that no matter how much I observe them, photograph them, hang out with them, I can never truly know every nuance, every expression, every gesture. It always leaves me frustrated, wanting more. And that's the amazing thing. They keep me guessing. They never fail to surprise and impress me. My love and devotion to them is unfaltering. They love and adore each other, the best of friends, loving each other's sense of humour, the tickles, the surprises. They are ever on the look out for each other and the delight that emanates from their faces when the other comes back into view is, well, exquisite, bewitching. I still have to pinch myself in realisation that they're my boys. That all the medical intervention, pushing science to the utter limits, paid off. I wonder what their little sibling in heaven is like. I didn't know the sex, but I still think of them fondly, knowing and accepting that their little body was just not strong enough for this world.
