Spasmodic croup

Reu taken by paramedics last night to UCLA emergency room. I'm at home with Callum whilst Jason and Reu have spent the night still in the ER awaiting an intensive care bed. We'll switch over care soon. Reu has sporadic croup so it was affecting his airway. Ironically his trach stoma was going to be closed today and they put a couple of trachs by his bedside just in case. I know the effect this would have on him emotionally - he was very trach aware after it went back in in April - but thankfully it's no longer a consideration. He's doing better on the IV fluids with the hope that he can take some liquid today.
