All by myself

Thought I'd try and let go. It just gets better... Reu kindly thanks Daddy for his marathon runner legs. We're in awe of our little love!

Amazing! How cute (and strong) are Reuben's little legs!

That really is amazing!!! Reu not only has to have a lot of leg strength, but trunk and neck strength as well. Then to be able to focus enough on something besides keeping himself upright to play with the toys in front of him... How wonderful for you all that he is doing so well!

:o) !!!! This so brings back so many happy happy memories of Keith! He loved this pull-to-stand/cruise position alot as well. One thing that worked for us/him (but might not be PT approved) is a ride on truck (which I still have by my bed, because it is so full of fond memories!). He would crawl over to it, manage himself onto it (great motor planning!) and then scoot away on it to wherever he wanted! (At first I kept two pound of rice inside the seat to keep it more stable for him). We had several child tables arond the house littered with his favorite manipulatives, and he would scoot from table to table - occassionally getting off the truck to stand and cruise... joyous times - I can still hear the merriment of sounds he made when he was so deeply content and amused - music to my heart really.... so happy for you all! love, yuka

What a lovely video of Reu. He's got his daddy's legs alright.
Have you bought the "sit to stride" yet or anything else to encourage his standing?
