The Epiphany

And so today marks the end of Christmas, after Twelfth Night, the Epiphany, when the Three Kings visited Jesus. What a joy to happen upon the Church today and find it so beautifully adorned with decorations still and Ft Willy holding mass.

We stepped in and St Monica's once again was in full swing, Joy to the World being proclaimed to the rafters. What a thrill!

I'd been feeling sad that bit by bit the decorations come down and we get back to normality, the hospital appointments, the therapies, research and phone calls. I've done little updating of this blog whilst LA's been blessed with all the visitors, from Johnny, to Belinda and Mark, to our mum and dads, to Erica and her family.

Yet tonight, I'm staring out at the marina and low and behold, there's a lone boat still decked in Christmas Cheer. It shines green, gaily lighting the quivering pond below as rain falls heavily in LA during unprecedented floods and cold weather, much like London really, very cosy, which really make us feel once again, it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

For now, I'm off for a final play of Oh Holy Night. Merry Christmas. Until next year...
